I would just like all of you to know who have been so dear to me since the beginning when this project was just a silly little thought in my head that a first draft of Kiratayani has been completed. Over the next couple of months I will be editing the novel, and I will be submitting it to publication. In the event that publication becomes exceedingly difficult, I will be selling self-published copies. The price has not yet been determined, but I will make sure to keep everyone updated.

Hello all. It's been quite a while since I've posted here, and I thought I should let you know what's been going on.

I have now officially finished the first 15 chapters of a rough draft of Kiratayani. I am also in the outline stages of two other novels: one a fairy tale/mystery novel, and the other a vampire novel with a young man named Ethan who unwittingly unleashes a demon upon the world and is then recruited by the vampire Corina to help her fix the problem he started.

Other than that, I was wondering what other type of information you would like to post in this journal: book reviews? movie reviews? random day to day information? more frequent updates on the status of the novel?

Also, is anyone here interested in another snippet from Kiratayani?

Every time I hear the song "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie, I immediately think of Kharavela.

Title: Kiratayani - Chapter 1

( One thing Kiratayani had never understood was why her father was so frequently missing when he had his clan to take care of. The princess had started listening to other members of her clan and found her father was going to visit another clan somewhere to the southeast. They were not exactly sure which clan he was visiting, but the rumors suggested he was searching for another wife, or at the very least had taken on a mistress he was completely enamored with. )

Another old portion of Yvenna's Blessing. The characters need new names in many instances, including the warhorses, and this part in its current version is probably completely unrecognizable.

This one is the original chapters 1 and 2 of an older novel I had been working on in my High School years. Both chapters have undergone considerable revision since that time, and they are no longer the first two chapters.
